Outlining some characteristics will enhance the specifics in contrast to comparable courses.

* We always start at Friday, 6 p.m. and finish at Sunday, 6 p.m. Such a duration is convenient even for people with professional and private obligations and, moreover, our courses are less expensive.

* Our clients (or students) are of different age and non-professionals in the field of music performance.

* Either single players (violin, viola, cello) or complete ensembles can inscribe (quartets, quintets, sextets)

.

* We do not demand obligatory pieces to play, and neither there is an obligation to perform in a recital or concert. But we are ready for recommendations and advice. Thus a good contact and social relation is realized even before the course opens. By these principles we try to encourage people to return to their path of instrument playing and to support their ambitions to reach out for doing better.

* We teach in sessions of 90 min. Thus it becomes possible to go through an entire movement in one lesson without time pressure. Mostly there is still little time to briefly get into another movement. Each participating ensemble is coached in four sessions, while the other six ones are used for practicing on their own (preparing, reviewing, repeating) or for relaxing and more.

* The small group situation of maximum five quartets (quintets, sextets) ensure a positive social climate and realize individual awareness and support for each participant. A sufficient and almost perfect exchange of information, oppinions, and impressions is experienced.

Course at Glien, September 2005

During the instructional sessions we focus on all kinds of occuring problems depending on the level of achievement and performance. Thus technical skills are discussed as well as playing together, leading and serving. Dynamic steps, balance and intonation are also important topics.

Because we moved to Lake Balaton in Hungary, our offer had to be changed:

Choice A: In case you are involved in a complete quartet (quintet, sextet)
I would be looking forward to teach you during a weekend in your place.
The instructional fee for four sessions (each 90 min) and spontaneous playing together
is 400 EURO. Additional expenses have to be dicussed.

Choice B: You might be ready for a vacation at fantastic Lake Balaton
combined with playing camber music and instruction.
I will put together a group of suitable players
and arrange a stay of a week or more. The individual fee is 100 EURO.

In case you are interested you are welcome to e-mail, to write or to call.

We address amateur musicians of any age
(students, employees in business and industry, seniors).
We care for freshmen or beginners as well as for people
that want to refresh their chamber music skills.
